Peter Maki is a Hudson, WI native has a passion for helping people improve and enjoy the game he loves. Golf provides a unique challenge, unlike any other, and has evolved from an interest to a passion and now a way of life. Peter has lived all across the country ranging from Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Carolina and California where he spent several winters as an assistant professional at Indian Ridge Country Club in Palm Desert. He studied mechanical engineering at Iowa State University, his technical background is now being applied to the golf swing and the motions that drive it.
A professional golf coach, Peter is invested in leveling up your golf game. Through the use of technology and his experience, simple thoughts and concepts are delivered to improve all areas of your performance. Peter is excellent at diagnosing the “root cause” of your issues and prescribing solutions and options to grow as a player. Golf isn’t a one size fits all game so lessons are tailored to the individual golfer as we work together to help you achieve your goals.
Peter’s students have competed and succeeded across all levels, from professional, to elite amateur and junior events as well as the average weekend warrior looking to beat their buddies in the weekly game.
Clients can expect to learn “how and why” their golf ball does what it does and how to change it if needed. Working with Peter, expect to learn how to practice and strategies to improve with efficiency. Improvement takes commitment and is a team effort. Peter’s life revolves around golf, performance development and serving others. Peter is in his sixth year of coaching at the Division 2 College Level.
